We are the only accredited program in South Florida.

Individuals from a wide variety of educational backgrounds, including social sciences, business, architecture, applied arts, engineering, humanities, design, geography, and urban and environmental studies, are encouraged to apply. There are no required course prerequisites.

The is to prepare future leaders in planning through education, research, scholarship, and community engagement. Training MURP students is at the heart of this mission, so the faculty invest heavily in the program鈥檚 success.

The MURP is a 48-credit-hour program structured to be completed on either a full-time or part-time basis. The program can be completed in 2 years as a full-time student or in 4 years as a part-time student while working full time.

The average class size is about 15 students, so students have plenty of opportunities for faculty mentoring and collaboration with other students.

The MURP degree leads to immediate employment opportunities. In recent years nearly all of our graduates acquired jobs in urban planning.
