Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP)

The 国产自拍 Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute sponsors the Ph.D. NGP. We are currently recruiting applications for the 2026 Fall matriculation class, applications open September 鈥 December 1. We are looking for bright, motivated students who have an inquisitive mind and a passion for neuroscience research. Work alongside world-renowned faculty who are utilizing novel techniques to perform cutting-edge research in cellular, molecular, and biomedical neuroscience; sensorimotor, cognitive, and behavioral neuroscience; and computational neuroscience and neuroengineering. 国产自拍 Graduate College Neuroscience Admission Requirements

  1. Initiate the application process:

    • Search: Florida Atlantic University
    • Neuroscience 鈥 Doctor of Philosophy
    • Fill out the on-line application
  3. Undergraduate GPA of 3.4 (neuroscience, biology, psychology, or related relevant field)
  4. Graduate GPA of 3.4 (if applicable)
  5. Personal Statement 鈥 Include your college/degree/major, and explain your purpose for graduate study, including your career goals and how a Ph.D. in Neuroscience is important to achieving those goals. Discuss areas of neuroscience research of interest and highlight any previous research experience(s).
  6. Resume/CV 鈥 The resume should include pertinent work history, research experience, publications, honors, etc. Prior laboratory research experience is typical of admitted students, but not required. Please include any research funding in your resume/CV.
  7. Letters of Recommendation 鈥 Three letters of recommendation are required, with up to five can be submitted on your behalf. As part of the online application, you will be required to register the names and contact information, including e-mail addresses, of your recommenders. Recommenders will then receive an e-mail with directions how to proceed. Applicants are strongly encouraged that letters are from academic/research advisors. Contact your recommenders before submitting their information in the online application.
  8. Official Transcripts: Due Dec. 1
    • Official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended in or out of the United States mailed or sent digitally directly to 国产自拍 from the issuing institution, or to GradCAS.

    International Transcripts: Evaluation of Foreign Transcripts: Due Dec. 1 and sent directly to 国产自拍 from the issuing institution.
    • Graduate applicants who completed education abroad are required to have their foreign credentials evaluated. The evaluation requires a 鈥渃ourse-by-course鈥 evaluation with a calculated grade point average from each institution attended.
  9. Program Materials Section: Questions
    • Research Interests: Choose only five (5) areas of neuroscience you are interested in *list in the on-line application
    • Supervisor of Interest: List five potential 国产自拍 NGP Faculty from the list on the webpage that you are interested in their research

  10. Pay application fee to submit online application. (Submit early so your application can be fully processed and referred to our program)
The Neuroscience Graduate Program does not waive the GradCAS application fee.

Applications are accepted from the beginning of September through Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. EST, for admission the following year. Complete applications include transcripts, recommendation letters, and all supporting documentation. Late applications are not accepted or reviewed. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all materials, including recommendation letters, are submitted by the deadline.
