Shania Grant Wins 'Social Sciences, Business, and Education' Category
Shania Grant, MSCCJ student in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice (SCCJ) won the 鈥淪ocial Sciences, Business, and Education鈥 category at the Graduate and Professional Student Association鈥檚 16th Annual Graduate Research Day. Shania鈥檚 research, 鈥淓xamining the impact of racial attitudes on the public鈥檚 support for reentry initiatives,鈥 is the product of work with her mentor, Cassandra Atkin-Plunk, PhD, SCCJ associate professor and associate director. The award came with a $500 scholarship prize as well as an invitation to present her research at the Conference of Florida Graduate Schools in April.
