¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ

Abigail Howard, Criminal Justice undergraduate student, was recently named a 2019 Woman of Distinction by  for her work to combat human trafficking. The organization works to improve the lives of women and girls through supporting programs and people who are leading to social and economic empowerment.

Nominated by Dr. Calli Cain, Assistant Professor, Abigail was selected from five nominees in the Education category as a 2019 Woman of Distinction for her work to combat human trafficking. She has written a play on human trafficking called , which will run at 2 PM and again at 6 PM on February 9, 2020 in the ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ University Theatre.  Abigail also runs her own non-profit organization, , which partners with safe houses that care and support survivors of human sex trafficking.

The awards ceremony was hosted at Boca West Country Club with approximately 300 people in attendance.  Congratulations, Abigail!
