Frontiers in Science

sarajediniWelcome to the 2019 season of our public lecture series, “Frontiers in Science”. As the Dean of The Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, it gives me tremendous pleasure to invite you to explore this showcase of science topics. We have eight speakers for you this year, experts in the fields of Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Mathematics, and Physics. We’ve brought them to you from across the globe and right here in our own community.

My hope is that these lectures stir you to deeper learning, explain your world, ignite your discussions, and bring the richness of the sciences to you.

Keep your eye out for our "pop-up" talks later in the spring that we will add to the Frontiers' schedule.

I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you and sharing my vision for the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University. It is never far from my mind that, without your support, we would not have the confidence to plan boldly for our student’s future or to continue the race to scientific excellence and discovery.

Join me as we begin a new exploration of the sciences together!

Ata Sarajedini, Ph.D.
Dean, Charles E. Schmidt College of Science
