Dear Fellow Owls,

As we prepare to welcome President Adam Hasner to Florida Atlantic, I want to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to our students,Ìýfaculty, staff, alumni, and all our friends throughout the community for the overwhelming support I’ve receivedÌýduring my time as interim president. I am humbled by and grateful for the kind words and messages I’ve received since stepping into this role in January 2023. I also want to thank the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees for this incredible opportunity.

It has been a true honor and privilege to lead my alma mater, especially during such an important and exciting time in its history. Together, we’ve accomplished much and celebrated many achievements. These include our men’s basketball team’s run to the Final Four and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances;Ìýreaching No. 103 on theÌýU.S. News & World ReportÌýlist of the best public universities; winning the ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation from the American Council on Education;Ìýsetting new records in freshman applications, enrollment and graduates;Ìýreaching the half-billion-dollar mark in theÌýTranscend Tomorrow campaign; entering a 15-year, $22.5 million, stadium naming rights deal with Flagler Credit Union; andÌýearning the prestigious Carnegie R1 designation for Very High Research Spending and Doctorate Production.

Great days lay ahead for Florida Atlantic under President Hasner. I look forward to continuing to serve as a member of his leadership team and faculty, and celebrating many more achievements under his leadership.
