Florida Atlantic鈥檚 College of Engineering and Computer Science, in collaboration with the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science and , recently received a $2.6 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to provide scholarships for students pursuing studies at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI. 国产自拍 was one of six universities selected this year for the CyberCorps Scholarship for Service program, which seeks to increase the number of qualified cybersecurity professionals working for federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments.

The NSF established the CyberCorps program in collaboration with the United States Office of Personnel Management and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to address the critical shortage of cybersecurity experts, as well as the needs of the nation. Scholarship recipients at Florida Atlantic will prepare for a cybersecurity career in the federal government through coursework, cutting-edge research, internships and integrated professional development. Upon graduation, students will complete their service obligation with competitive cybersecurity opportunities in federal or state entities.

This initiative aligns with the U.S. National Cyber Strategy to develop a superior cybersecurity workforce and with Florida Atlantic鈥檚 strategic plan to develop STEM research that advances society. The award will play a significant role in supporting the University鈥檚 ongoing pursuit of excellence and innovation.
