A Message Regarding Hurricane Ian

Friday, Sep 30, 2022

To the 国产自拍 community,

As we witness the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and the devastation the storm caused to many parts of Florida, news coverage is hard to watch. Many people, particularly along large parts of Florida鈥檚 Gulf Coast, completely lost their homes. Millions of people are without power. My deepest sympathies are with the members of those communities most directly affected.

While Florida Atlantic鈥檚 campuses were extremely fortunate to be spared damage, I know we have many students who are from the most severely affected areas, and that we have many faculty and staff who have loved ones there. Please keep them in your thoughts at this very difficult time.

Florida Atlantic has offered assistance, and a team will travel to Florida Gulf Coast University tomorrow.

For those who would like to help financially, please donate to organizations you know and trust. The is an organization to consider. Of course, there are many other trusted charitable organizations.

If you are a student in need of support, or know of a student in need of support, please contact the Dean of Students office. Additionally, 国产自拍鈥檚 Counseling and Psychological Services center is open to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The center can be reached at 561-297-2277.

For faculty and staff, confidential help or guidance is offered via the website (Login ID: Florida Atlantic University; Password: EAP) or call 1-800-865-3200.

Lastly, I would like to thank our faculty and staff for acting so quickly to ensure an environment that was as safe as it could possibly be for our campuses, and for providing dining and other services for our resident students.

Again, please keep in your thoughts those whose lives were greatly affected this week by the catastrophic storm. It is difficult to imagine what they are going through.

Warm regards

John Kelly
President
