Hagertys Give $5M to ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Athletics

Tuesday, Dec 13, 2022

I am delighted to share that Florida Atlantic University has received a $5 million gift from Michelle and Michael Hagerty in support of ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Athletics. Their transformational gift will fund renovations and improvements to several athletic facilities, which will now be known as the Hagerty Family Athletics Village. This new gift builds on the Hagertys’ previous $2.5 million contribution to ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Football in 2021, in which the Hagerty Family Head Football Coach was named in their honor.

Facilities in the Hagerty Family Athletics Village footprint will include the Hagerty Family Track and Field Complex, Tom Oxley Athletic Center, Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Swimming Facility, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Softball Stadium, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Soccer Stadium, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Baseball Stadium and ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Beach Volleyball Complex.

We are excited to see the positive impact that the Hagerty Family Athletic Village will have on the university and our student-athletes. I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to Michelle and Michael Hagerty for their support of ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Athletics. At ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ, we’re playing to win — both on and off the field. This generous gift from the Hagertys will help our student-athletes reach new heights as we prepare to join the American Athletic Conference.

Go Owls!
