Fall 2020 Return-to-Campus #13 – Labor Day Weekend
Thursday, Sep 03, 2020
Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 7. While this year’s holiday likely will be very different, hopefully, all students, faculty, and staff can enjoy a relaxing long weekend. In order to help keep the ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ community safe during the early weeks of the Fall semester, please consider specific safety measures during the weekend, either on or off-campus.
Protect Your Owl Family
is the theme of ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s health and safety efforts, and everyone’s actions can help slow the spread of COVID-19.
°Õ³ó±ðÌý  offers guidelines and general recommendations to help keep your Labor Day  with fun and healthy activities, whether staying local or traveling. Those guidelines include, but are not limited to:
- Wear a face covering when you leave home
- Practice physical distancing; stay six feet away from those not in your household
- Wash your hands often; carry hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol) when soap and water are not available
- Stay home if you are sick
- Assemble a COVID-19 travel kit, including such items as face coverings, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues
- Pack your own food and drinks; avoid sharing with others
- Choose outdoor activities over indoor gatherings
- Arrive at locations early or during off-peak times to avoid crowds
- Monitor your health daily
The dedicated COVID-19 website remains the best source of ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ-specific information. General questions related to the COVID-19 situation should be directed to ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄCOVID19@fau.edu . All feedback will be shared with applicable departments across the ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ campuses to ensure adjustments, as necessary.
