February is Black History Month, a national recognition and celebration of African American history and achievements. The theme for 2024 is “African Americans and the Arts,” paying tribute to longstanding traditions and varied art forms of cultural expressions including cuisine, fashion, film, literature, music and other modalities.

In celebration of Black History Month, Florida Atlantic student groups will host a series of events throughout February. Programs include a Black Excellence Dinner, an entrepreneurial panel discussion, a painting night and community service activities.
