I am pleased to share that ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Athletics has received a $7.5 million gift commitment from longtime friend and philanthropist Eleanor R. Baldwin. In recognition of her generous donation, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s basketball and volleyball facility will be named the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

We sincerely appreciate Elly’s transformational contribution to ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Athletics, which expands on her longstanding support of the university. She has been a true champion of Florida Atlantic and its students over the years, from mentoring future educators, to cheering on our sports teams, to donating crucial funds to support the university’s growth.

More than 20 years ago, Elly made a seven-figure gift to construct a president’s residence on the Boca campus, which was named the Eleanor R. Baldwin House in her honor. Additionally, the Eleanor R. Baldwin History and Tradition Hall, located inside the Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence, and the Eleanor R. Baldwin President’s Suite at ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Stadium are named in her honor. TheÌýEleanor R. Baldwin Arena will be one more shining example of her generosity at ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ.

I am incredibly thankful to Elly for this remarkable gift to ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Athletics. I look forward to seeing our student-athletes, coaches and community reach new heights in the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
