Closing out the 2022 seasons with much to celebrate, the Florida Atlantic University women’s golf and men’s swimming & diving teams brought home several exciting wins for their respective programs. Congratulations to our ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Owl champions for their impressive victories!

Earlier this month, junior Rateb Hussein was recognized by the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association as the CCSA Men’s Swimmer of the Year, as well as the CCSA Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet. During the conference championships, Rateb set a meet record of 43.78 for the 100 free and set multiple program records, including the 100 fly (16.74) and 200 fly (1:44.94). He also played a role in breaking the school’s record for the 400 free relay, helping the team finish at a swift 2:58.57. Well done, Rateb, and congratulations to the men’s swimming & diving team for an outstanding season finish.

On April 20, the women’s golf team achieved its highest finish since joining the C-USA in 2014, tying for third place at the Conference USA Championship at PGA National. Senior Letizia Bagnoli also won the individual title, making her the first to earn this honor in program history. Up next, fans can watch the team compete in the 2022 NCAA DI Women's Golf Selection Show on April 27 at 5 p.m., available on the GOLF channel. Additionally, Letizia will be competing at the NCAA Regionals, beginning May 9 at one of six host sites across the country. We look forward to cheering them on as they advance to the next competition.
