Dr. Masoud Jahandar Lashaki, Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director, provided a lab tour to and discussed research collaboration opportunities with over 20 representatives from Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Cambodia, El Salvador, Iraq, Kenya, Maldives, Moldova, Mozambique, Saint Kitts, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Timor, and Trinidad and Tobago. The event, titled "Telecom Infrastructure: Enhancing Security and Resilience", was  organized by Global Ties Miami and was held on May 6th, 2026, at ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s SeaTech campus in Dania Beach.  Dr. Jahandar Lashaki provided an overview of his team's research activities exemplified by (1) nutrient management and harmful algal bloom prevention projects funded by the Florida Department of the Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and (2) air and water purification research activities funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
