¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ

July 31, 2026 marked an exciting opportunity for the Florida Atlantic University (¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ) Geomatics Engineering program as faculty and student leaders attended the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society (FSMS) Annual Conference and Exhibition.

Representing ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ were Dr. Sudhagar Nagarajan and Dr. Hongbo Su, along with the current student officers (Erin Legros, Laura Ortiz  and Vinny D'Agostino) of the FSMS ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Student Chapter. The conference brought together surveying, mapping, geospatial, and engineering professionals from across Florida, providing a valuable platform for networking, professional development, and industry engagement.

Throughout the event, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ faculty and students interacted with industry partners, learned about the latest advancements in surveying and geospatial technologies, and discussed emerging trends shaping the future of the profession. The conference exhibition featured leading companies and organizations showcasing innovative equipment, software, and solutions that support modern geomatics practice.
