Altarations: Built, Blended, Processed听presents works by 23 contemporary artists.听Most of the artists live听 and work throughout the United States while a few reside in other countries听including Israel, Denmark and Peru.听 While hardly unified in style and content, the artists鈥 works in听Altarations听blend photographic images and processes听 to produce works that celebrate, contradict and听undermine photographic traditions through altered images and references.听 The title of the exhibition is听derived from Mark C. Taylor鈥檚 鈥淎ltarity,鈥 a 1987 book of philosopher Taylor鈥檚 writing that brings听 together his interpretation and synthesis of several modern philosophers鈥 interpretations of difference听and otherness.听

His work was听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 recently featured in the 2014 Made in LA听at the Hammer, UCLA.
