“Applying to Ph.D. Programs”—In this comprehensive tour of the Ph.D. application process, Drs. Stacey Balkan & David Medina will discuss such fundamental criteria as the writing sample, personal statement, and the retrieval of letters of recommendation. They will also speak frankly about their own experiences and the many questions—from geography to discipline—that may be less intuitive. The workshop will be held on Wednesday November 12th from 6-7pm via Zoom.

“Information Workshop for Potential M.A. Candidates”—In this information session, Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Stacey Balkan, will offer a tour of the M.A. program in English. The workshop shall include a discussion about the application process; a brief outline of our curriculum; and the many benefits—both academic and professional—of a graduate degree in English. The workshop will be held on Tuesday December 2nd from 5-6pm via Zoom.
